with FGM and associated problems and complications far from myths and related stigma.
- To Refresh BSSS FGM core team & prepare them for the actual FGM outreach campaigns.
Participation on National level:
- Sharing in the national team responsible for data collection & editing for the
brochures of FGM. "BSSS has prepared the religious aspect Data & has edited
the medical data".
Local level:
- We started preparing ourselves for the supposed FGM campaign by making a
local workshop on 2 days to prepare our team for the campaign.
Time:
Friday & Saturday 7th & 8th of December 2012.
Methodology:
- Workshop for BSSS members & Medical students for 2 days on FGM including

against FGM & to act like a moving media advocating the problem.
Challenges & Obstacles
- Cancellation of the project nationally Due to lack of materials.
- Lack of fund & material to go on with the outreach campaigns.
Comments & Suggestions:
- The project must have a very good stable fund source.
- We have to go out in the health centers & villages to reach people there.

Aim: - To raise awareness about HIV & methods of transmission & how to protect
against it.

most of the faculty has credit hours program with half term & term exams

- More flexibility in Time choosing because December is a very tough period
due to exams besides a lot of other projects in other committees are already

Human Rights Project
Local coordinator: Amal Ali
Our mission:
"Improvement begins with I."

Based on this idea, we believe that changing the society begins with changing
the individuals themselves.
Despite the laws that determine human rights and are supposed to be followed
in different countries all over the world; we still face clear human rights violation.
As it is useless to pass laws that guarantee human rights without individuals
defend their rights and believe completely in the issue.
So, our mission is spreading awareness among individuals about their rights.

By then, we will have a society with civilized culture that honors humanitarian
and stands against human rights violation.

BLOOD Donation Campaigns
Problem statement:
We've lost 2 main objectives which form the backbone of blood donation (Concept and
Motive).
People have lost the concept of blood donation due to the rumors that spread in the streets
about selling the donated blood to the needy with high prices so they think instead of
donating blood and be sold they keep it or they sell it on their own, and this is due to many
social problems in the community the most prominent among them is Poverty and ignorance.
The Motive for donation was lost during the anonymous campaigns that were conducted
by non-professional teams and unexperienced staff resulted in multiple injuries and spread
of infections that made the affected donor loose the motive to donate again.
Blood donation is essential to fulfill the needs of the patients whom need blood in a regular
manner such as anemic patients, cancer patients, accidents, major surgeries, thalassemic,
leukemic patients and the mother during or after labor.
Target group:
Medical students.
Goals:
1- Increase the awareness of Medical students about the importance of blood donation.
2- Compensate the shortage in the reserve of the central blood bank.
3- Motivate the medical students to donate blood.
Methodology:
1- Online campaign: one of the most important and most effective way to deliver the
message to the target group.
2- Awareness campaign: through posters, flyers and the most important part is personal
contact and face to face interaction with the target group.
3- The blood donation campaign: through professional medical staff, well trained and
well equipped.
Challenges & obstacles:
I'd rather leave it blank.
Comments & suggestions:
Keep the Great Spirit.
Healthy Makeover Report Local coordinator: Nelly Talaat Mustafa
Local coordinator assistant: Amal Ali
Our mission:
Supporting minorities is considered one of our main goals in our standing committee.
As we see the orphans are occupying a big sector of the minorities here in Egypt deprived of
many rights even their simplest right to have home and family.

We must try to make them get rid of their feeling as if they are a separate human
category from the society and to help them be more involved in our society by introducing
them to new people and experience.
