Iindividuallycreateandhand-casteachofmyuniquebronzesculpturesfromone-of-a-kindwaxmodelsusingthe“lostwax”methodofbronzecastingwhichisthousandsofyearsold;thecastbronzesculpturescanlikewiseremainforthousandsofyearstocome.Andtostandnexttoaroaringfurnacemeltingmetalat2,000degreesFahrenheitforsuchabronzepourisapowerfuleventthatcanmoveeventhemoststagnantofsouls.Itrainedintheancientartoflostwaxbronzecastingfrom1997-2006inTucson,ArizonabeforeembarkingonaculturalexchangeofsortstoNewZealand.There,Ilivedforthenexteightyears-teachingbronzecasting,buildingafoundryforthecommunity,andlearningtraditionalMāoriwoodcarving.NowlivingintheHoneyBrookarea,IamproudtosharemypassionforbronzeaspartofthePhiladelphiaSculptorsgroup.
