EBAC launched March 2006 – ‘Pubwatch’ incorporated in same year.

Tasked with reducing business crime – specific focus on shoplifting & anti-social behaviour.

Interfaces with business crime partnerships across the South West.

Close interface with ECC CCTV Control Room, Police, Guildhall & Princesshay Shopping Centres.

Contribution to enhancing night-time economy.

Background/Core Objectives

Positive figures against challenging backdrop. Competitive pricing – by comparison with competitor

locations. Strength in numbers – intelligence/co-ordinated response.

Targets – agreed with security staff, Police & CCTV. 2nd stage – Exclusion Notice. 3rd potential stage – ASBO.
