WHAT İS A BRAND ?

Brands are not set in stone, They are dynamic.

A brand is not only about Ads.

Brand also has a unique design, a sign or a symbol, so called logo.

Those should differentiate the brand from the competitors in a positive way

The difference between brand and branding is that one is a marketing tool and the other is an action.

Brand is not branding.

Branding means creating a unique name and image for a product in the consumer’s mind.

Perhaps the biggest mix-up in business is the use of brand and branding as interchangeable words. Some people also define branding as advertising(it’s not even close).

Branding is about defining, while advertising is about promoting.

A brand is a thing (noun). Branding is an action (verb).

Good branding – valuable.   Great brand – priceless

COMPANY

ETYMOLOGY

The English word “company” come from an old military French term “compagnie” with the meaning of “body of soldiers”

DEFINITION

A business organization that make buys, sells goods or provide service in exchange for money.

Association or collection of individuals who share the same purpose inside an business environment.

TYPE OF COMPANY

Voluntary association: no profit (Greenpace) Business entity: profit (Apple) Financial entities and banks (ING bank)

The Difference between Brand and Company

Some names, such as Nike, are both a brand and a company name. In simple terms, there is a difference between company and brand. Company refers to the organization that markets or produces services; Brand refers to the image and “personality” a company applies to its products. In reality, the two can overlap.

Brand is about how consumers see a company and its products
