Sally Beauty has grown from one small store in 1964 in New Orleans into theworld’s largest distributor of professional hair and beauty products, with over4,000 stores worldwide. In the UK and Ireland they have over 250 stores.

In the UK and Ireland we trade at over 250 stores with Sally as our retailbusiness brand.

Sally Beauty are known for their professional approach, todrive their rapid growth they have a need for professional,talented individuals.

Sally’s traditional recruitment approach had been to usemultiple suppliers, which brought inefficiencies throughdiffering approaches, processes and rates.

Their requirement was to have one recruitment supplierwho could provide a consistent service. The firstassignment was for multiple Marketing candidates who hadexperience in the hair and beauty industry.

BPS managed to fulfil this brief, researching the industry tofind the top candidates working for Sallys’ competitors,presenting Sally as an employer of choice to entice thesecandidates to make the move to Sally.

After this successful assignment, BPS successfullyresourced across a range of sectors – includingMarketing, Administration, Customer Service, Finance,and Web Design.

To enable BPS to deliver the right person every time,they build up a pipeline of readily available candidateswith retail experience, this allows BPS to be agile enoughto respond to Sallys’ requirements immediately.

Additionally BPS visits every HR Department tounderstand Sallys’ current resourcing requirements, andmore importantly their future resourcing requirements.

This partnership has been very successful, with a 95% fillrate and a significant reduction in time to hire.
