• Art Studio 1: Students will have the opportunity to do various types of art with different media including pencil, paint, pastels, pen / ink, printmaking materials and collage.

• Sculpture 1: Students will create many three-dimensional projects while using skills in design, carving, ceramics, mask making, model building decorative painting, etc.

• Spanish II: Spanish is offered to any student who has successfully completed the Liberty Explorer Spanish 1. Students will expand their vocabulary and grammar. Students will also focus on reading, writing and speaking in Spanish.

• Symphonic Band: This is the most advanced band in the program. Students will further develop their skills and perform in concerts, the BBCHS Homecoming Parade, and the IESA Music Contests.

Band, Choir & Orchestra

• Choir: Individual vocal production and three-part choral singing are emphasized in this class. Music theory, sight reading, style and music history are taught via the music which is preformed at a variety of concerts and community events during the year.

• Orchestra: Orchestra is offed to any string player who has successfully completed the Essential Elements for Strings 2000, Book 2 or is at a comparable level of ability assessed my Mrs. Carroll. Students will work to develop their skills and will preformed at a variety of concerts and community events during the year.

• Zero Hour physical education begins at 6:50 and dismisses at 7:40. Students are allowed to enroll in zero hour if and only if they wish to enroll in two electives. Transportation to BUGC is the responsibility of the parent.

“Zero Hour” PE

• BUGC offers a variety of interscholastic programs such as Student Council, Yearbook, Math Team, Scholastic Bowl, Jazz Band, Chain Reaction, and Spelling Bee. BUGC also offers interscholastic programs such as girls’ softball, boys’ baseball, cheerleading, track, cross country, wrestling, girls’ volleyball and boys’/girls’ basketball.
