immigrants,employingmorethan10millionpeople.(PartnershipforaNewAmericanEconomy,2011)

•  MorethanaquarterofU.S.technologyandengineeringbusinesseslaunchedbetween1995and2005

hadaforeign-bornfounder.(TheBrookingsInstitution,2011) •  Fortechnologyfirmswithfewerthan5,000employees,eachH-1Bposition(temporaryvisasreserved

forhigh-skilledworkers)wasassociatedwithanincreaseofemploymentof7.5workers.( National

•  In2005,companiesfoundedbyimmigrantsproduced$52billioninsalesandemployed450,000

workers.(TheBrookingsInstitution,2011)
