In this book, our third monograph, we are proud to present a selection of our most recent projects. Piet
Boon 3 shows how we have gained a solid footing throughout the world, and highlights how we have
developed further as a multidisciplinary architect and design studio.
Our commissions have not only become increasingly international, but more importantly far more diverse.
From villas, beach houses, hotels, resorts, restaurants, high-end apartments and interior design for yachts
to product designs and collaborations with highly respected international brands such as Land Rover.
Design Philosophy
Creating functionality in combination with an experience is characteristic of our philosophy. Wherever in
the world our projects may be, we tune our designs to the location, culture and local traditions. Our
signature can be recognized in strong lines and symmetry, in innovative solutions for the optimum use of
space and light, and a harmonious balance of materials, textures, color, form, and dimension. But love of

natural materials and skilled craftsmanship is a constant and authentic feature of our style, which traces
its origin to Piet’s background as a craftsman.
Our personal approach guarantees work of the highest quality, distinguished by refined detailing and
coherence. We listen carefully and are ceaseless in our questioning so that we can develop clear insights
into the individual needs and wishes of each client. This dialog provides the elements that form the basis
for the exciting and inspiring design process that we then embark on with our clients as our partners. We
are convinced that good communication is crucial for success, but also for developing the necessary trust.
Because each assignment is unique; each design, building, or interior has its own personality and character.
Signature Styles
For private and corporate clients, Piet Boon® focuses on four different styles:
Piet Boon® Originals is the rugged, robust yet still elegantly classical Piet Boon® style. Natural materials
combined with an understated use of color, tried and tested, and authentic from the very start.
Piet Boon® Beach focuses on a unique specialization in beach residences and seaside resorts. This style
creates either a relaxed primary residence or a ‘home away from home’ that is a personal retreat surrounded
by natural beauty.
Piet Boon® New Luxury stands for spacious and luxurious accommodation in the bustling heart of the
city, characteristically using the finest materials and elegant detailing. Understated and stylish with
international allure.
Piet Boon® Living in Small Spaces has been developed for that select group of professionals who are very
conscious of design, technology and space. The fast pace of life in world cities demands compact yet
luxurious houses or pieds-à-terre.

Our affinity with designing luxurious living spaces, completely attuned to a personal lifestyle, has become
a specialty that we increasingly apply in corporate projects, such as hotels and resorts, but also in offices.
This book has been produced with much passion, and in particular with immense pleasure. I sincerely
hope it will prove a source of inspiration.

t h e n e t h e r l a n d s — Our studio has chosen to specialize in Living in Small Spaces. We advocate
a luxurious style of living in a small area. It is more than a way of living – it is the lifestyle of people who
consciously make choices and have a close affinity with design and multimedia. We also use this
functional concept in apartment buildings and boutique hotels.
The aim of this interior design was to create a functional space with the same characteristics as a
spacious house. All the functions required are present: a bedroom, bathroom, living room, kitchen,
office, a pantry, and even a guest area with dedicated shower. And also a large amount – in fact a very
large amount – of storage space, carefully designed with specific functions in mind.
A limited area forces you to make considered choices. It is the art of finding a balance between functionality
and ambiance. The equipment that provides the house with every possible convenience is hidden from sight.
The apartment now has a rich, timeless character thanks to the use of natural materials such as oak and
a customized Italian kitchen in stainless steel.
