THE 5 SECRETSOF A MASTER NETWORKERI’m Will! And I’m Jill!
Will’s buddy, Jill, usually had problems that needed solving…
My son failedchemistry! Where will I ever find a tutor for him??
My printer is bust again, and this
contract has to be printed today! What do I do?
And BNI supermember Will, always had a solution!
I’ve got the best person for that!
Jill decided to investigate…
How do you always have a
solution? What’s your
secret?
Jilly, I don’t have A SECRET…
I’ve got FIVE!
Secret #1
Manage your network!Rule of Thumb: If you cannot name five people off the top of your head that you are regularly in touch with from a professional or personal circle –you need to manage your network!
Secret #2
Feel thankful? SHOW IT!If it’s their birthday, or
anniversary, I remember it, and give them a small gift!
If someone’s feeling blue, I give them a hug and
motivate them.
Finally, just a small thank you note is all you need to give someone to let them know your appreciate having
them in your network
Available • Be there for those contacts who need you!
Resourceful
• Your contact asks you to go down to the store near you for something urgently? DO IT. They will return the favor in the long run!
Reliable• If no other source works out for your
contact, you’re someone they can count on.
Secret #3
Don’t be a fair-weather networker
A good networker is…
Secret #4
Follow-up on your referrals!
“I do not try to sell to my referrals, rather I educate them and inform them about what they need to know. This helps me form a relationship with my referrals.”
Secret #5
Being presentable makes you likeable!
Would you be friends with me if
this is how I looked?
Or if I was always raining
on your parade?
Being likeable means being kind, using your body
language and clothing to make an impression.
That was easy! Ok Will, I’m off!
What?? Where to?
To be aMASTER
NETWORKER!
