Weapons on blockade runners. Most of these ships had cannons and other
sorts of guns. Cannons were used to destroy other ships
or attack from the sea.
Cannons on the blockade runners
what it is Blockade. A blockade is a shutting off of a port or
region of a belligerent state by troops or ships of the enemy in order to prevent a passage in or out time of war.
What is a blockade runner. A blockade runner is a ship that try’s to slip
through blockade’s. These ship’s tried to get into the port’s so
that it could get soldiers their supply’s.
What they did for the army. They brought food and supplies for them.
They would also help out the protect the land by gunning down other ships.
