Welcome!Welcome!
The BLC Upgrade for Managers will make life easier for you. From now on, one site
can handle your own BLC courses and help you generate reports about your
employees’ learning needs and progress.
All of this is on just two basic pages – one for you and one for your staff – with tabs of
information on each. If you know how to follow computer prompts, you’ll master the
BLC for Managers in no time. Simply follow the steps in this tutorial.

Logging InLogging In
Username: Enter your Lawson ID #
Password: Enter your BLC password (same as you used prior to the BLC upgrade)
Click the LOGIN button.You will see a message that says: “Please wait while we validate your account.”

This screen is one of the two view options that you’ll have. It’s the Advanced View. To see the Simple View, click on the button.

In the Simple View it is easy to check your personal records, review the catalog or enroll in a class. In this view there are six tabs across the top.
The first tab is My Courses, which brings up a list of the classes in which you are currently enrolled and waiting to take and the mandatory courses that you need to take before your anniversary date. The indicates that the course is online; the means the course is in a classroom or instructor-led.

Simple View - My TranscriptSimple View - My Transcript
My Transcript shows a list, including the dates and scores of all the courses you’ve taken to date. You also have the option of printing your transcript.

In My Profile you can view or update personal information.

Catalog is a list of all BLC classes, including those offered online and in the classroom .

Calendar allows you to search for a class by date and time to register for a class.

Search helps you find classes by method (online or classroom), subject, instructor, time or place. To search for a course enter Search Criteria in the available fields and click the button.
Note: You’re required to enter text correlated to the course (e.g. HIPAA) in the Search Text field.

So, if you enter HIPAA in the Search Text field and click on the button, the HIPAA page of the catalog appears, including course titles, dates, length of course and method of instruction. To enroll in a course:
1. Click on the to the left of course title you want.2. When the confirmation screen appears check the course details and click
on the button to confirm.3. Return to you’re My Courses screen to verify that your registration was
processed.

Now let’s work on how to review our employees’ transcripts and generate reports. Click on the box in the upper right corner.

Notice each of the tabs under the Banner Health logo – Student, User Management, Report.
The Student tab will open the Simple View tabs and allow you to search for classes that you may want to schedule for your employees. To enroll a student click on the Search Course selection in the Student drop down list

1. On the Search Courses screen enter the Search Text and any criteria (e.g., course type, date range)

3. The search will bring up a page of possibilities. On the Learning Object List click the View link for the course you want to enroll employees in.

4. In the Learning Object Instance List identify the desired session and click Add.

5. In the Search Attendees screen select the appropriate enrollees using the next to their User ID and then click the box

The User List displays, in alphabetical order, all of the individuals you are responsible for managing in the BLC. To view or edit an individual’s information click on that individual’s record.

To view a report
1. The to the left allows you to run a number of reports at once. Check all that you want, then click on select all at the bottom of the page.
2. In the report User Info Details screen enter in the criteria for the report (e.g., Date Range, Organization)
