WHO IS GAIN?
As the relief and development ministry of Cru Global Aid Network® (GAiN®) expresses the love of Jesus Christ in the toughest places on earth by relieving human suffering and restoring dignity.
GAiN accomplishes their mission through funding, facilitating, and carrying out relief and development projects through trusted partners worldwide who are committed to spiritual multiplication.
More than 42 million people worldwide are
now forcibly displaced as a result of conflict
and persecution within their own country.*
In 2013, 21.9 million people were forced to
flee their homes by disasters such as
floods, storms and earthquakes.*
Refugees remain uprooted for an average of
17 years due to ongoing violence in their
home communities or fear of targeted
violence and persecution if they return.*

THE REFUGEE CRISIS
THE REFUGEE CRISIS
With internally displaced people today
outnumbering refugees by nearly two to
one, the needs are greater than ever.*
Voiceless and without an advocate, most
often grabbing only the things they can carry,
refugees are the world’s most vulnerable
people.*
A refugee is someone who is being
persecuted for reasons of race, religion,
nationality, membership of a particular social
group or political opinion, is outside the
country of his nationality, and is unable to, or
owing to such fear, is unwilling to avail himself
of the protection of that country.*

GAiN uses blankets to not only meet physical needs of
those who have lost everything, but as an opening to tell
people about God’s love. As the number of refugees
increases each year it means that more people are without
basic items like shelter, clothes, shoes, and blankets.
GAiN’s Blanket Initiative gives our partners access to
refugee communities. Because people can’t afford these
items on their own, they go without. Because of this need
GAiN goes in and provides items like blankets to not only
meet physical needs but to also open doors to share about
Jesus’ love.
THE SOLUTION
“I am grateful for the support I have received in the form
of blankets and am happy to receive more aid in any form
that may help me sustain my family.”
