Single upper molar can be replaced by either one implants or 2 implants based on the space available.
If the space available is more than 12 mm..two implants are advised
to distribute the forces
to avoid cantilever forces
to increase the success
to increase the longetivity
to take the eating stress which is more in first molar area
This patient lost his upper molar few years back due to decay...and he wants to replace ..without any delay and waiting period.
