Beth Parcell Evanshas always lived a life shared with animals. Born in 1958, she spent every spare moment of her childhood outdoors in nature and at farms and stables. She had a strong love of horses and began to draw them at age 4. Her grandfather painted landscapes in oil, and by age 9 she was sitting alongside him as he taught her how to use the medium. She, however, included horses in all of her paintings.By age 12 she had finally convinced her parents to permit her to ride. The love of horses and of painting merged into an inevitable calling that she could not ignore. After 4 years of training at a commercial as well as a fine art school, Beth began her art career. She has been painting professionally for 33 years, and is currently training her 5th retired Thoroughbred race horseHer work hangs in 7 east coast galleries, as well as many private collections in the US, England, Ireland, Germany, and the Netherlands.

She is a signature member of the Society of Animal Artists, associate member of Oil Painters of America, and member of the Salmagundi Club, Philadelphia Sketch Club, Allied Artists of America, and American Women Artists. Her studio is in Hopewell, New Jersey, close to her foxhunt and stable. She also owns a house in Maine and on the Outer Banks of North Carolina, which once belonged to her parents. All three of these locations serve as inspiration for her paintings
