Case Study >The Park Plaza HotelWalkway Scheme
A walk across Westminster Bridge from Big Ben and you
will find The Park Plaza Hotel. This scheme is a mixture of
G603, G654 and G684 granites giving a pleasing tone
which blends with the colour schemes in and around the
hotel. The scheme has a number of raised flower beds
which have been constructed using Silver Grey granite,
and are formed into a serpentine pattern and topped with
a round edge coping. The lower sections of the beds have
been drilled allowing for lighting to be inserted giving a
new dimension at night. The scheme was constructed by
Volker Highways and has been finished with stainless
steel bollards and a distinct UFO style seating feature
which complements the black paving beneath.
