1.2 AudienceThis guide is intended for the technical consultants responsible for the deployment of SAP Hybris Marketing. It also assumes that these consultants are familiar with SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence platform environment, with knowledge on how to install and configure the core products required by this analytic application.
1.3 PrerequisitesThis solution has dependencies on applications that must be configured in a defined sequence for the implementation to be successful. Before configuring the SAP BusinessObjects BI platform technical components for this solution, complete all prerequisite steps. The sequence for deployment is described in the Prerequisites Matrix for SAP Hybris Marketing rapid-deployment solution. This document is attached to the scope item factsheets, in the Documentation package.Ensure that your technical landscape aligns with the software requirements of this solution. For more information about the applications and versions required for this solution, see the Software Requirements guide in the Documentation package.
1.4 AssumptionsThe following statements are the preconfiguration assumptions for setting up SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence platform technical components for this solution:
1) Technical knowledge of SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence platform.2) SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence platform software has been installed

SAP BusinessObjects Reports for Hybris Marketing (CEO): Configuration Guide
SAP BusinessObjects BI Platform Security ConsiderationsThe integration between the SAP Hybris Marketing security and the SAP BusinessObjects BI platform security are part of the overall security methodology for your technical landscape. There are features within each product and an end-to-end strategy conforming to the overall security methodology is important. The SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence platform architecture addresses many security concerns that affect implementations. To protect against unauthorized access, the current release supports features such as distributed security, single sign-on, resource access security, granular object rights, and third-party authentication.Detailed capabilities and techniques are in the SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence platform Administrator Guide. This BI platform documentation provides an overview of the security possibilities that can be configured and implemented in different scenarios and solutions. Those solutions provide options that can be implemented according to a specific environment and security requirements. The administration guide includes sections that address:
General recommendations for securing the infrastructureThese recommendations are for securing the BI deployment and range from SSL to firewalls to password policies.
Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) ProtocolSSL can be configured between the BI server and clients to ensure secure data transmission between the data provider and the BI server consuming the information from SAP HANA.
AuthenticationSingle sign-on is a feature where the BI platform can communicate externally to gather authentication credentials from an external system, to validate a user of the system. Various security providers are supported and documented in the BI Administrator Guide. Review this configuration in the context of the security requirements and the integration with SAP HANA.
Password RestrictionsPassword restriction definitions exist for authentication with the BI server and client web browser. These options are detailed in the SAP BusinessObjects BI Administration Guide. If an external security authorization is used, then it is a consideration for adherence to security requirements.
Report and Dashboard Security – RightsRights are the base units for controlling user access to the objects, users, applications, servers, and other features in BI platform. They play an important role in securing the system by specifying the individual actions that users can perform on objects. An administrator controls delivery of the information to the final user by restriction of the reporting object.
For more information, see the Appendix

4.3 Configuring SAP Authentication (Optional)UseSAP authentication enables SAP users to log on to SAP BusinessObjects BI platform using their SAP user names and passwords, without storing these passwords in the BI platform. SAP authentication also allows you to preserve information about user roles in SAP, and to use this role information within the platform to assign rights to perform administrative tasks, or access content. The SAP BusinessObjects BI platform system requires an SAP user account that is authorized to access SAP role membership lists and authenticate SAP. Account credentials are required to connect the SAP BusinessObjects BI platform to your SAP system. For general instruction on creating SAP user accounts and assigning authorizations through roles, see your SAP NetWeaver Business Warehouse (SAP BW) documentation.
Refer to the Basic Settings for SAP Hybris Marketing (CEB) building block for details on SAP user account and PFCG role creation.
4.3.1 Connecting SAP Entitlement SystemBefore you can import roles or publish SAP NetWeaver BW content to the SAP BusinessObjects BI platform, you must provide information about the SAP entitlement systems to which you want to integrate. The SAP BusinessObjects BI platform uses this information to connect to the target SAP system when it determines role memberships and authenticates SAP users.
4.3.1.1 Adding an SAP Entitlement System
Procedure1. Navigate to the Central Management Console (CMC) in SAP BusinessObjects server, for
example http://<servername>:8080/BOE/CMC.2. Log on to CMC with the administrator user name and password.3. From CMC, access the Authentication management.4. Double-click the SAP link.
© SAP SE Page of
SAP Best Practices
SAP BusinessObjects Reports for Hybris Marketing (CEO): Configuration Guide The Entitlement Systems window appears.
If an entitlement system is already displayed in the Logical system name list, choose New.
5. In the System field, maintain the three-character System ID (SID) of your SAP system.6. In the Client field, maintain the client number that the BI platform must use when it logs on
to your SAP system. 7. The SAP BusinessObjects BI platform combines your System and Client information, and
adds an entry to the Logical system name list.8. Ensure that the Disabled checkbox is not selected.
Use the Disabled checkbox to indicate to the BI platform that a particular SAP system is temporarily unavailable.
9. Complete the Message Server and Logon Group fields as appropriate, if you have set up load balancing so that the BI platform must log on through a message server.
10. If you have not set up load balancing (or if you prefer to have the SAP BusinessObjects BI platform log on directly to the SAP system), complete the Application Server and System Number fields as appropriate.
11. In the User name, Password, and Language fields, type the user name, password, and language code for the SAP account that you want the SAP BusinessObjects BI platform to use when it logs on to SAP.
For the rapid-deployment solution, we recommend to use the CEI_STD user that is created in the Basic Settings for SAP Hybris Marketing (CEB) building block. These credentials must correspond to the user account that you created for the SAP BusinessObjects BI platform.
12. Choose Update.13. If you add multiple entitlement systems, select the Options tab to specify the system that
the SAP BusinessObjects BI platform uses as the default (that is, the system that is contacted to authenticate users who attempt to log on with SAP credentials but without specifying a particular SAP system).
14. In the Options tab, ensure that Enable SAP Authentication is checked.
4.3.1.2 Verifying that Entitlement System was Added Correctly
Procedure1. Select the Role Import tab.2. Select the name of the entitlement system from the Logical system name list.
If the entitlement system was added correctly, the Available roles list contains a list of roles that you can choose to import.
If no roles are visible in the Logical system name list, look for error messages on the page. These messages provide the necessary information to correct the problem.
4.3.2 Enabling SAP Authentication in BI Launch Pad
UseSAP authentication is invisible on the BI Launch Pad logon screen by default. To make SAP authentication available, you need to edit the BI Launch pad properties on your BOE server.
© SAP SE Page of
SAP Best Practices
SAP BusinessObjects Reports for Hybris Marketing (CEO): Configuration Guide To modify BI Launch pad default settings, you need to set custom BI Launch pad properties.
Procedure1. Go to the following directory in your BI platform installation:
<INSTALLDIR>\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\warfiles\webapps\BOE\WEB-INF\config\custom\
If you are using the Tomcat version installed with BI platform, you can also access the following directory: C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP BusinessObjects\Tomcat6\webapps\BOE\WEBINF\config\customIf you are using any other supported web application server, consult the documentation for your web application server to determine the appropriate path.
2. Create a new file named: BIlaunchpad.properties3. Edit the file by notepad and include the authentication options on the BI launch pad logon
screen. Add the following entries:authentication.visible=trueauthentication.default=secSAPR3cms.visible=true
4. Save and close the file.5. Restart your web application server.
4.3.3 Importing SAP Roles
UseBy importing SAP roles into the SAP BusinessObjects BI platform, you allow role members to logon to the system with their usual SAP credentials. In addition, single sign-on is enabled so that SAP users are logged on to BI platform automatically when they access reports from within the SAP GUI or an SAP NetWeaver Portal.
Procedure1. In the Authentication management area of the CMC, double-click the SAP link.2. On the Options tab page, select either Concurrent users or Named users depending on
your license agreement.
Note that the option you select here does not change the number or type of user licenses that you have installed in SAP BusinessObjects BI platform. You must have the appropriate licenses available on your system.
3. Choose Update.4. On the Role Import tab page, select the entitlement system in the Logical system name
list.5. Under Available roles, select the roles you want to import, and choose Add. Select the
copy of the Z_CUSTOMER_ENG_INTELLIGENCE role you have created during PFCG configuration.
6. Choose Update.
4.3.3.1 Verifying that Roles and Users Were Imported Correctly
Procedure
© SAP SE Page of
SAP Best Practices
SAP BusinessObjects Reports for Hybris Marketing (CEO): Configuration Guide 1. Ensure that you know the user name and password of an SAP user who belongs to one
of the roles that you just mapped to SAP BusinessObjects BI platform.
2. For BI launch pad, navigate to http://webserver:portnumber/BOE/BI.
Replace webserver with the name of the web server and port number with the port number that is set up for BI platform. Ask your administrator for the name of the Web server, the port number, or the exact URL to enter. For example, http://<servername>:8080/BOE/BI
3. In the Authentication Type list, select SAP.
By default, the Authentication Type list is hidden in the BI launch pad. To enable it, refer to step 4.3.2.
4. Enter the SAP system and the system client to log on to.5. Enter the user name and the password of a mapped user.6. Choose Log On.
ResultYou are logged on to BI launch pad as the selected user.
A user group will be created automatically along with your import of BW roles into the BI Platform. All users which you are using to log on to the BI Platform with SAP Authentication will be assigned to that user group. By default the user group doesn’t have access privileges to public folders via BI Launch Pad. Change the user security settings according to your actual business demand.
4.3.3.2 Updating SAP Roles and Users (Optional)
UseAfter enabling SAP authentication, it is necessary to schedule and run regular updates on mapped roles that have been imported into the BI platform. This updating ensures that your SAP role information is accurately reflected in the platform. There are two options for running and scheduling updates for SAP roles:1. Update roles only: This option only updates the links between the currently mapped roles
that have been imported in SAP BusinessObjects BI platform. We recommend that you use this option when you expect to run frequent updates and you have concerns over system resource usage. If you only update SAP roles, no new user accounts are created.
2. Update roles and aliases: This option not only updates links between roles but also creates new user accounts in the SAP BusinessObjects BI platform for user aliases added to roles in the SAP system.
Procedure1. Navigate to the Central Management Console (CMC) in SAP BusinessObjects server, for
example http://<servername>:8080/BOE/CMC.2. Log on to CMC with the administrator user name and password.3. From CMC, access the Authentication management.4. Double-click the SAP link.5. On the Entitlement Systems window, select the appropriate Logical system name.6. Navigate to the User Update tab page.7. To update the roles or roles and aliases directly, choose Update Now.
