BB Grader – Giving Video Feedback
Using BB Grader App eLearning
Blackboard recently released the Bb Grader app that instructors may use to grade Assignments on an iPad 2+ or an iPad mini using iOS7 or above. This app allows instructors to use inline grading features to provide comments and grade documents uploaded to an Assignment within a course. Unfortunately, this app is not currently available for Android devices and cannot be used to grade any assessments or activities other than Blackboard Assignments. Get the app: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/bb-grader/id897611355?ls=1&mt=8

View Blackboard’s Feature Guide: http://www.blackboard.com/Images/Bb_Grader_new_tcm21-8413.pdf
Features:
• Learn Assignment Grading – on a tablet! • Support for most Assignment features:
o Text, Audio, and Video feedback o Point comments o Private notes o Anonymous Assignments o Portfolio Assignments o Grading with Rubrics o Comments within Rubrics
• Bulk Grade Submission • Messaging
• Retention Center Integration o Risk Profile o Alerts
The following features are currently unavailable: Delegated Grading, SafeAssign
The inline grading within the app allows you to add text annotations on the submitted document (The following document types can be viewed within Bb Grader: PDF, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Powerpoint, PNG, JPEG, and HTML.) but does not allow you to draw or highlight like you can when you access inline grading in Blackboard via a web browser. One big advantage that the app has over grading in a web browser is the ability to add audio and video feedback in the overall feedback area for the assignment.
