Unreadable slides and boring presentation.
~60% dead!
Examples
This slide is very hard to read• Did you think so? Here's why this slides are unusable for reading in
projectorlike environment.
• By using so many bullets in one page.– More than 4 bullets in one slide, your target audience are starting to have
hard time try to remember the slide.– More than 10 and nearly nobody would consider looking at it.– That would put too many eggs into one basket.
• And also choose so small font size that normally people cannot see the slide clearly from normal distances.– Let's say: you choose font size <= 20 as in this slide.
• Even choosing inappropriate font for screen can have some effects on readability– Serif font (like in this slide) made your document looks frustrating.– It's because of their glyphs.
• Combining these 3 factors together, you'll end up high chances your slides cannot be read my most of your audience
• And That's [a lot of] kills!
~75% dead!
Make it lively, it's easy.
• Meaningful photos
• Use multi – tone sound
• 4 bullets per page is enough
~15% dead!
Which saves many lives!
Thank you!
