What you will need

• A Glove• A Bat• A Ball

The Basics

• 9 Players on the field at a time• Home and Away Teams• Away Team Bats first• 3 Strikes and you’re out• 3 outs for each team per inning

What are the Positions?

1. Pitcher2. Catcher3. First base4. Second base5. Third Base

6. Short Stop7. Left Field8. Center Field9. Right Field

Before you Play

• Stretching your arms and legs is very important. It reduces your risk of injury.

• Be sure to throw from short distances before gradually getting farther

Hitting The Ball

• 3 Strikes and you’re out

• 4 Balls and you walk

• Over the fence is a Homerun!!

Fielding the ball

• When the ball is hit you want to throw the runner out at First

• Catch the ball in the air for an out

• Can get more than one out at a time

Preparations

• A well watered field

• Make sure catchers are fitted with gear
