Pagbati!!
Sa aking paglilingkod sa loob ng isang termino bilang Barangay Kagawad
(2010 -2013) ay dito ko nalaman ang mga dapat pang gawin. Una, ang paghiling sa
mga mamamayan bilang makakatuwang at makakatulong sa pagsasakatuparan ng
mga programa at adhikain sa pagsulong ng kaunlaran sa ating Barangay.
Pangalawa, ang mga proyektong dapat pagplanuhan ng maayos upang ng sa
gayon ay mapaglaanan ng pondo para sa lubos na kapakinabangan ng mga
mamamayan hindi lamang ng Barangay Zone III – Poblacion kung hindi pati na ang
mga mamamayan ng Bayan ng Atimonan.
Ako po bilang Punong Barangay (2013 – 2016) kasama ang buong
Sanggunian ay nangangakong tutuparin ang sinumpaang tungkulin at hindi
bibiguin ang pagtitiwalang ibinigay ng aking mga kabarangay.
Papanatilihin ang magandang alaala na iniwan ng mga dating nanungkulan,
ang kaayusan, kagalingan at katahimikan ng ating Barangay.

TANGGAPAN NG PUNUMBAYAN
MENSAHE
Mahalaga ang kamulatan ng mamamayan sa mga impormasyon ukol sa
bawat barangay ng Atimonan. Ang magbigay ng konkreto at angkop na mga
datos ang layunin ng Socio-Economic Profile ng mga Barangay. Ito rin ang
magsisilbing matibay na batayan upang mabalangkas ng Pamahalaang Bayan
ang mga programang pangkaunlaran na ang mamamayan ang higit na
makikinabang.
Ang ating mamamayan ang salamin ng kaunlaran ng bayan kaya ang
progreso ng apatnapu’t dalawang barangay ay pinapahalagahan ng Lokal na
Pamahalaan ng Atimonan. Ang Socio-economic Profile ang testimonya na patuloy
ang pag-unlad ng ating bayan.

KATANGIAN AT INTERPRETASYON SA OPISYAL NA LOGO NG BARANGAY
Ang opisyal na sagisag (logo) ay binubuo ng dalawang hugis na bilog na ang isa
(1) ay kulay dilaw sa loob na sumisimbolo sa liwanag at isa (1) sa loob na kulay puti, na
sumisimbolo sa kalinisan,pagtutulungan at ang ugnayan ng bawat mamamayan sa
barangay.
Ang tore at ulo ng kalabaw na napapaloob sa bilog ay makikita ang pangalan ng
barangay “Barangay Zone I- Poblacion”ang nasa itaas na bilog, at ang pangalan ng
bayan “Atimonan” at probinsya ng “Quezon” na makikita naman sa ibabang bilog at
ang bituin sa tagiliran ng bilog.
Ang gitnang bahagi ng sagisag (logo) ay may larawan ng mga sumusunod sa
sumasagisag sa barangay;
KULAY DILAW - ang kulay ng liwanag ng pag-asa, pagkakaisa at kapayapaan na
ipinaiiral sa barangay.
KULAY PUTI- ang kulay ng kalinisan at busilak na puso na maglilingkod sa bawat
mamamayan na naninirahan sa barangay.
TORE - ito ang sumisimbolo sa katatagan.
ULO NG KALABAW- isang pambansang hayop na sumisimbolo sa kasipagan,
katatagan at walang sawang serbisyo nito sa lahat ng pangunahing
pangangailangan ng mga mamamayan na naninirahan sa barangay.
BITUIN- sumisimbolo sa KISLAP at NINGNING ng katatagan at kasipagan at
pagtiyatiyaga ng mga mamamayan ng barangay.
Ang pagkilala ay ibinibigay sa mga nag-ambag para sa pagsasa-ayos ng opisyal
na sagisag (logo) ng barangay at ito ay ang mga sumusunod:

VISION
Maging isang barangay na buo at sama-samang pinanglilingkuran ng mga tapat, tunay at sinserong sanggunian
at naglilingkod na may pananalig sa Diyos, Sumusunod sa batas at bukas para sa lahat ng mamamayan na kumakalinga sa kalikasan tungo sa isang maunlad na pamayanan.
MISSION
Mapanatili ang kaayusan at katahimikan sa Buong pamayanan, maipaabot sa lahat ng mamamayan ang tunay at tapat na paglilingkod ng buong Sanggunian at magkaroon ng partisipasyon ang lahat ng mamamayan para sa ikauunlad ng
bayan.
1. HISTORICAL BACKGROUND
KASAYSAYAN NG BARANGAY ZONE – III PPBLACION
Buhat sa kapanahunan ng kauna-unahang kapitan ng bayan ng
Atimonan na si FRANCISCO MANGABA noong taong 1608 hanggang sa
panahon ni Kapitan Vicente Manalo taong 1898 ay nananatiling buo at
isang barangay lamang ang bayan ng Atimonan.
Hanggang sa paglipas ng panahon at naging bayan na ito at
nagkaroon ng paghahati-hati ng mga barangay. Taong pagitan ng 1930 at
1940 na ang nag-iisang barangay sa Poblacion ay hatiin na rin sa apat.
2. PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS
Barangay Zone III – Poblacion is one of the inner barangays of Atimonan, located within the poblacion. It is traversed by the National Highway bounded on the north by Brgy. Zone IV – Poblacion, on the south by Brgy. Tagbakin, on the west by Brgy. Balugohin, and on the east by Brgy. Zone II – Poblacion.
It has a total land area of 7.1060 hectares per record of Municipal Assessors Office composed of seven sitios or puroks – Purok Narra, Purok Kamagong, Purok Yakal, Purok Akasya, Purok Banaba, Purok Tindalo, Purok Molave. Topography of the barangay is mostly plain on the coastal side and almost 51% of land is commercial. Definitive data were specified below:

3. SOCIO-ECONOMIC SECTOR
RHU Survey of 2014, showed that Brgy. Zone III had a population of 1,833. There are more female than male with distribution revealing 72.66% of the total population belong to ages 10 – 59 years old; 11.73% under 1 year old to 9 year old and 15.60% belonging to 60 years old and above. This shows that Brgy. Zone III Poblacion has more working population
than dependent population.
School going population (pre-school, elementary, secondary and college) is computed at 65% of the total population and the most common religion is Roman Catholic.
