Schedule• 7:45 - 8:00 Morning Assembly• 8:00 - 8:50 Specials• 8:50 - 11:05 Block 1 and Block 2• 11:05 - 11:45 Lunch and Recess• 11:50 – 2:00 Block 3 and Block 4• 2:00-2:45 FIT• 2:45 Pack up and go home
• **GT will be Monday through Thursday: 2:00-2:45• **Library will be Mondays 9 - 9:45, 9:45 – 10:30, 12:00 – 12:45, or
12:45 - 1:30
Coming and Going…
• School starts at 7:45
• School ends at 2:45
• Arriving late? Check in with front office
• Leaving early? Check out with front office…(Mrs. Wester will call our room to send the student to the office)
• Not coming at all? – see next slide
Absent?
• Have your child check in with each of their block teachers.
• Make-up work can be ready by 3:30 on that day, otherwise your child can get it the day he or she returns.

Every box filled daily, even if it is “no hw”

Houston Museum of Natural Science In the spring (date TBD) Extended day trip: leave early (6:30) and get back late (7:00)

Possible mishaps for 5th graders:
• Choosing NOT to take advantage of a quiz or test re-take -
• Not telling the truth about assignments and HW
• “Forgetting” to get behavior violation signed
• Telling teachers one thing and parents another
• Coming to class without the basics
Homeroom Parents Needed• We are in need of homeroom parents for
each classroom. • Please consider signing up! • Your duties are:
– Communicate with teacher regarding class needs
– Coordinate parties/treat days– Organize party favors, food, supplies, etc…– Play major role in end of year activities
