One of the highlights on the Excel stand at this years PPMA show Hall 5stand B51 will be from their new Italian partner Pentavacwho manufacturer vertical and horizontal form filland seal machinery. Pentavac who supplymachinery worldwide will be bringing to thisyears show their Penta 2100 stainlesssteel bagging machine complete with athermal transfer printer.

The Penta 2100 inox (stainless steel) wasdesigned to meet the exacting require-ments of food and pharmaceutical cus-tomers who pack in harsh environmentsthat would cause corrosion and damage to a standard painted machine.

The robust stainless steel frame and IP65 electrical standardsnot only provide greater hygiene and cleaning capabilities, but also ensure thatthe machine will greatly outlast the life of standard machinery.

The Penta 2100 inox can be combined with liquid pump dosers, elevators forgranular products, multi-head weighers, auger fillers for powders andvolumetric dosers for liquids creams and gels. The machine height and thelarge maximum bag dimensions (290mm width and bags up to 450mm inlength) make it particularly suitable for multi-packs of foodstuffs such asconfectionery, snacks, mozzarella cheese, croissants, and also for bulk bags ofrice, pasta, salt, salads, powders etc

Excel Packaging Machinery are pleased to announce that Omas have addedtwo new machines to their product range.

Excel recently supplied to a leading pharmaceutical contract packer their newOmas single head cap tightening machine.

Andy Skittrall of Excel says “our customer was looking for a simplein line cap tightening machine able to tighten a wide variety of capsand containers with the minimum of change parts and change overtime. Using an inline gating system we were able to achieve changeover times of 15 minutes and achieve output speeds of up to 30 aminute”.

Also added is the Omas TT1 bench top capping machine for screwcaps, crimp caps, press caps and ROPP caps supplied for use forsmall batch production requirements and laboratories.

Excel install Axomatic Optima 1000 into leading Cake Decoration company

Earlier this year Excel supplied a new Axomatic1000 tube filling machine to leading bakerysupply company (Cake Décor Ltd) to fill theirfull range of cake decorating fondants, icings,caramels and chocolate. The ability to havevery quick change overs and the back up andparts service supplied by Excel in partnershipwith Axomatic is the reason Managing DirectorBill Donnelly chose to purchase the AxomaticOptima 1000. Bill Donnelly says “At CakeDécor we offer highly innovative CakeDecorating Kits to the Plant Bakery and HomeBaking markets and working with Excel wewere able to install a complete packaging lineas a turnkey project with metal detection andcheck weighers to complete our line."

PRE-OWNED MACHINERY ADDS VALUE TO EXCEL RANGE OF SUPPLYDuring 2005/6 Excel have supplied complete pre-owned filling and capping lines to customers looking towards second hand machinery dueto cost restrictions or the requirement for very quick deliveries. Excel supplies liquid filling and capping solutions to the Caribbean David Pym of John Dore Limited says of his recent supply by Excel Packaging Machinery of an Omas four head vacuum filling machine and ROPP capping machine “we supply process and packaging machinery across the world for thedrinks industry and we had a client looking for a low cost semi automatic solution for filling one litre spirits with quick change over and low maintenance.
