How to copy the Oracle Apps R12.1.1 software from Windows to Linux

using WINSCP Tool

These are the three main steps to copy the R12.1.1 software from Windows to Linux.

Download the R12.1.1 Software

Download the WINSCP Software

Copy the software from Windows to Linux

Download the R12.1.1 Software

a) Go to https://edelivery.oracle.com/ and click Continue

b) You will be asked to enter the Full name, Company name, E-mail address and

country details. Enter the details and click continue

c) In the next screen you will be prompted to enter the product pack and platform

Enter

Product Pack: E business suite

Platform: Linux x86

d) Select Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.1.1 Update Media pack for Linux x86

among the available results as shown in the below screen and click continue to

move to next screen.

e) Download all the files starting with Part number B53824 -01 Part 1 of 4 till

B53825 -01 Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.1.1 Documentation Library

Create a new folder and copy all the total 40 files into windows from the website

Download the WINSCP Software

a) Go to http://winscp.net/eng/index.php and download the winscp software as

per the screenshots shown below

Click on download page in the above shown screen

You will be redirected to the below screen

Go to Installation package under the Downloads - WINSCP 4.3.2 Installation

package

Save the WINSCP file in your computer. Once it is done do the installation. Click on the

WINSCP icon on the desktop and you will see a window as shown below

Enter the IP Address in the Hostname

User name: root

Password:

Drag and drop the R12.1.1 software and copy it into LINUX as shown below

On the left hand side enter the drive where the software R12.1.1 is located

On the right hand side click

And now click on the login page

Then a window will be appeared as shown in the figure. Give the username password

over here and click on OK and then

Then a window will be appeared as shown in the figure.

Here at the top on the right hand side next to the d01 there is a folder icon. Click on it

to the give the final destination for the software location and click OK.

On the right hand side here from the Drive F location I dragged the R12.1.1 software

and a popup will be appeared as shown in the figure

Click on Copy at the bottom

Now drag the R12.1.1 software from host operating system (Windows) to guest

operating system LINUX

Here all the files are copied as shown in the figure to d01 location.

/d01/R12.1.1 software

Check whether all the files are copied to the destination location as shown in the figure

Here I just copied two files from Windows to Linux Box as shown in figure. In the same

way copy all the 41 files to the d01 location through WINSCP Software.
