• They celebrate their first European Settlement.

• They dance around and clap sticks together.

Aborigines

• Aborigines are natives to Australia and Tasmania.

• They formed many different tribes, who spoke around 200 different languages.

• The didgeridoo is an instrument similar to a wood trumpet, but shaped like a bassoon.

• The Aborigines play the didgeridoo very well.

AYERS ROCK

•Ayers rock is named after the Aboriginal.

•In 1958 it became a national park and in 1977 it was renamed Uluru.

•Uluru, also called Ayers Rock, is one of the largest rocks in the world.

• The rock measurers about 3.61 km (2.2 miles) long.

Great Barrier Reef

• Animals in the great barrier reef are sharks, whales, lobster, dolphins, fish and plankton.
