What do you think an employer expects from a new employee?

When you are late or absent...• The company loses money.

• Production goes down.

• Stress is added to the team as well as yourself.

• You are flustered the next time you show up for work.

How can you prevent being late or absent?

If you are going to be absent…

• Call your immediate supervisor at least 1 to 2 hours ahead before your shift starts.

• Make sure it’s a good reason.• Try an notify your boss of a prescheduled absence.• Have proof if asked to provide any.

IF YOU DON’T CALL…• You could be fired/suspended• The boss will deem you untrustworthy/responsible• Get less hours• Start building tension in the workplace
