BIOGRAPHYLebogang Kekana, a final year student in National Diploma, Somatology, Faculty of Health and Environmental Sciences.2015 served as SRC Projects and Campaign officer, I was awarded Vice Chancellor’s leadership award for being the best SRC member and the most actively involved female.A peer mentor and actively involved in community projects.2016Study of the united state institutes(SUSI) participant at the University of Nebraska in Civic engagements.Currently still serve in the SRC.

UNDERSTANDING THE SOCIAL CHANGE MODEL OF LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT

• It was created in 1993 by the Higher Education Research Institute of UCLA.

• In effort to enhance student learning and facilitate positive social change.

• The model emphasizes the need to understand self and others in effort to create community change.

• It is less about the leader and more about the leadership community.

• The model also enhances the development of leadership qualities, self-knowledge and personal empowerment.

CRITICAL CORE VALUES OF SOCIAL CHANGE MODEL, 7 C’s
