An evening of Bingo will be presented by Seaside's Our Lady of VictoryCatholic Church. The doors open at 6:00 PM with the first Early BirdGame at 7:00PM. The regular games run from 7:30 to 10:00PM. Snacksare avalable. No one under age 18 is permitted.
The church is located at 120 First Street, two blocks west of theConvention Center.

The Friendship Amateur Radio Society QrARS) sponsored by AEA, willconduct a norse code proficiency competition on Saturday, June 4th,similar to last year' s competition.
Attractive medals and certificates will be awarded at the banquet onSaturday night for several outstanding competitors in the sending,receiving, and pile-up events. All scoring will be done using a specialcomputer program developed by Carl Clawson, WS7L.

Mike Dunlap, K7MYUhffike has been a ham for 34 years and holds an e2m class license. He is a Past
President of the Salem ARC. Mike is the Assistant SEC for the Oregon Section andOregon State RACES Radio Oncer.
Mike is amateur radio coordinator for the Oregon State Police Cffice of EmergeneyManagement where he has led development of standards for emergency communicationto promote cooperation between ham radio and government.
Under Mike's leadership, Oregon ARES District 0 has grown to 30 members, trainshams to improve their emergeney operating technique, and established a primaryEmergeney Operating Center.a=OC) at the State EOC and two remote EOC's to helpreduce traffic load.
Mike is cunently a professor of computer sciences at Willamette University where hehas been Elmer to many st`rdents. He enjoys bunny hunting, has designed and built hisown antennas and has participated in numerous public service events.

Jim Young, W86FNI, is the ResidentAstronomer at Table Mountain Observatory,Table Mountain, California. Jim has workedfor Jet Propulsion Laboratories for over 30years in the Earth and Space SciencesDivision. Jim will present a color slide showthat guides the audience from the earth'senvironment, and the exploration of the SolarSystem to the vast beauties of the Universe.
Jim was first Hcensed as a Novice in 1956 andcurrently holds an extra class license. He is a
JinToung life member of ARRL, QCWA, and Heard
Island DX Association (Australia). Since 1987 Jim has served as Secretaryof the Triple ``11" Net, an international anateur radio group. During a 1991ascent of Mt. Whitney he was instrumental in saving a man's life usingamateur radio while on the summit.

Greg was first licensed in 1955. In the mid-60s, he operated W7AGQ/4 fromVirginia and was a staff attorney with the Broadcast Bureau of the F.C.C. inWashington, DC. He returned to 7-land in 1967. Greg became Judge Milnes in1969 and is currently a Circuit Court Judge for Washington County, Oregon.
Greg operates mostly IFTDX. He curently runs an ICOM 751, Heath 201 andafter a two-year building project with W7NI, now has the "son of Big Berthaanplifier (2 x 4-1000As). Greg is a member of ARRL east Assistant Director),QCWA, DXCC, PARS, Willamette Valley DX Club and OTVARC ®astpresident and director).

The Westlink Young Ham of the Year Award for 1994 will be presented at theSea-Pac Banquet. The award program , now entering its ninth consecutive year,is presented amually to a licensed Radio Amateur who is 18 years of age oryounger and who has provided outstanding service to the nation, his communityor the bettement of the state of the art in communications throuch AmateurRedo.
The young ham award program was conceived in 1985 by Westlink Raport'sthen Managing Editor Bill Pastemak, WA6ITF, in order to highlisht theaccomplishments of the nation's many young radio hobbvists, and to encouragethe entry of more young people into the exciting and rewarding hobby ofAmateur Radio. This fun and real-life experience, it is hoped, will lead manyinto careers in the sciences and technologies.
The 1994 award recipient is AIlison Zettwoch, KD4CKP of Louisville,Kentucky.
