• Richard Meier was born in

Newark, New Jersey on

October 12, 1934.

• Meier earned a Bachelor of

Architecture degree from Cornell

University in 1957.

• In 1965, He designed a

house for his parents in

Essex Fells, New Jersey, it

was one of the earliest

Completed projects by

Meier.

• In 1967, He Complete Smith House in Darien,

Connecticut, who later became a Typology that guided

the design of Private houses which he designed later.

• In 1970, He started the Project of Bronx

Developmental Center in The Bronx, New York, it

was one of the his earliest large buildings of

Alucobond.

• In 1973, He designed Douglas House in Harbor

Springs, Michigan, it had an interesting view so many

newspapers published articles about it.

• In 1979 He appeared to work in Museum for the

Decorative Arts In Frankfurt, Germany, the project

represented a starting point for Richard Meier because it

was the first European large project for him.

• In 1979, He designed The High Museum of Art in

Atlanta, Georgia.

• In 1984, at the age of 49 Meier

was awarded the Pritzker Prize

which awarded annually by the

Hyatt Foundation to honor "a

living architect whose built

work demonstrates a combination of

those qualities of talent, vision and

commitment, which has produced

consistent and significant contributions

to humanity and the built environment

through the art of architecture.

The Getty Center in

Los Angeles,

California, it is The

largest Meier project

At all, It took 13 years

to build (1984-1997).

• In 1988, Meier was awarded royal institute of British

Architects medal

• In 1989, He designed

Frankfurt Museum of

Ethnology in Frankfurt,

Germany. Meier described

this a project that he

regretted to not used its

design in most of his

buildings.

• Nowadays, Richard Meier

& Partners Architects has

offices in New York and

Los Angeles with current

projects ranging from

China to Paris, and he was

awarded more than 80

awards between 1968 and

2010.
