Applus tooling installation @ CERN• Period: 16-20 November (approx. 10h working days)

• Ressources: • Applus : 2 engineers & 2 technicians

• CERN : 1 engineer, 1 technician, 1 crane operator (punctual, first 2 days) and 2 alignment specialists (1.5 days)

• Starting conditions: Tooling unpacked and pre positioned

Day 1: unpacking, wiring, pre- alignment

Day 2: alignment, floor drilling

Day 3: floor drilling, grouting

Day 4: grouting, wiring review

Day 5: control tests, cleaning

Issues:All went as planned except for a few issues:

• Alignment with the floor plates junction -> bench moved by 25mm

• Surface roughness of the rails: polished by hand

• Communication problem with one of the winches: electric, PLC or software issue to be solved.

-> Final acceptance testing moved: 1 – 4 December
