“The Life Empowerment Awards for Schools 2012 – 13” is an initiative of
Expressions India – The National Life Skills, Values Education & School Wellness Program, for
“Promotion & Recognition of Co-Scholastic Development”. These awards were launched with the aim of
strengthening the co-scholastic aspects of child development and to facilitate mentoring of best practices in
holistic education.
The concept of these awards has received an overwhelming response from schools across the nation. The
Awards were broadly divided into 4 major categories; Promoting Life Skills, Values, Health & Wellbeing,
Best Practices in School Counseling Services, Practices in Inclusive Education for Special Needs
Children and Innovations in Sports, Arts & Culture and comprised a total of 10 sub-categories. Schools/
candidates were shortlisted for the presentation round on the basis of the documents submitted & the work
done in the respective areas. The final selection and conferment of Awards was based on the presentations
by the short-listed candidates before an eminent jury from the field of Education, Life Skills,
Health & Wellbeing, Sports and Art & Value Education.
Award Ceremony of this pioneering initiative of Expressions India took place on 30th
August 2013
(Friday) at the National Science Centre, New Delhi. Shri Vineet Joshi, Chairman, Central Board of
Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi was the Honourable Chief Guest of this award ceremony.
Other dignitaries present were Prof. (Dr.) Sadhana Parashar Director (Training & Academics),
CBSE; Ms. Geeta Chandran - Founder – President, Natya Vriksha Arangetram, New Delhi and Shri
Rama Sarma Dhilupati, Director, National Science Centre, Delhi. Eminent Leaders awarded for their
contribution & achievements and heads of institutions recognized for their eminent leadership.
The 2nd Life Empowerment Awards for Schools 2014 – 15 is. These awards were
instituted to recognize and salute outstanding efforts by individuals, groups and organizations in
promoting various modern curricular aspects of school education and seek to acknowledge the
work of schools and individuals for their innovative ideas, perseverance, compassion and
leadership in transforming young India. It is also to appreciate and encourage their contribution
towards Promoting Life Skills, Values, Health & Wellbeing, Best Practices in School Counseling
Services, Practices in Inclusive Education for Special Needs Children and Innovations in Sports,
Arts & Culture.
The awards are a reflection of Expressions India’s commitment to recognizing and applauding
the efforts that schools are making towards holistic development of young minds as global
citizens of tomorrow. Award Ceremony of this pioneering initiative of Expressions India took
place on 31st October 2015 at National Science Centre, New Delhi. Awards were given away to
the eminent leaders and head of institutions from various schools across the country. Shri.
Rajat Sharma, Chairman & Editor-in Chief, INDIA TV, New Delih was the Honourable Chief
Guest of this award ceremony. Other dignitaries present were Prof. (Dr.) Kavita Sharma,

The Life Empowerment Awards for Schools 2017 A Promotion & Recognition of Co-Scholastic Development
“The Life Empowerment Awards for Schools 2017” is an initiative of Expressions India – The
National Life Skills, Values Education & School Wellness Program, for Promotion & Recognition of
Holistic Development in Schools. The first of its kind, these awards were launched, with the aim of
strengthening the co-scholastic aspects of child development and to facilitate mentoring of best
practices in holistic education. The concept of these awards has received an overwhelming
response from schools across the nation.
These honours are being instituted to recognize and salute the outstanding efforts in promoting
various aspects of the co-scholastic paradigm of school education. The awards are a reflection of
Expressions India’s commitment to the inherent values in promoting empowered young minds
as global citizens of tomorrow. Awards will be given away to the Schools, Principals, Teachers
and Counselors by eminent personalities from the field of Education, Life Skills, Health &
Wellbeing and Art & Value Education.

Award Ceremony of this pioneering Initiative of Expressions India took place on 17th
August 2017 (Thursday) at the India International Centre, New Delhi. The Morning symposium starts with
the welcoming of the guests/panelist and traditional lamp lighting done by Indian School Students along
with thematic dance performance on “Aaj ki Durga”.

to think deeper and made us more confident for our crusade to support the cause of empowering changes.
The recommendation and road ahead provided us a guideline to proceed more precisely for the betterment
of this noble cause
