• Definition of patience:– Figure out if something

is really bad, or you just think it is.

– Know when you can change it or not.

– Don’t make the situation worse.

Think about it…

• Think about something really bad that happened this week. Could you have changed it?

• What are ways of making a situation worse? Have you ever done that?

Setting Our Kabbalot

• A small, achievable goal that has to do with the value.

• Examples:– Slow down when doing chores/assignments.

– Practice patience while waiting (deep breathing or imagining).

– Write a poem or song about patience.

– Listen to a song that makes you feel patient.

– Make a list of things that require patience.

– Think of times when you are most impatient. Try to focus on being patient before those times happen.

Focus Phrase

• Helps us remember our kabbalot. Try to reflect on your focus phrase for a minute or two each morning.– Examples:

• Patience is a virtue.• Savlanut• Deep breath• Relax• Take notice
