Where to Start?

Introduced Animoto to several staff members Art teacher showed an interest in having all 150

students create Animotos. Collaborated with teacher. Teacher planned lesson as a reflection of

student’s year in art. A written paper was required first.

The IL State Standards covered: 25, 26 and 27. This project covered all art standards.

Create an account in Flickr.com

Flickr.com

Go to Flickr.com and create an account with your Yahoo I.D. and password.

Open up your Flickr account and scroll down to Creative Commons…

Remember that using images from Google is illegal without permission.

The images in Creative Commons are able to be shared.

Creating an Animoto Account

Go to Animoto.com. Sign up. Type in Promo/Referral Code:

See Code Sheet. Click on Animoto Original and Create

Video.

Step by Step

Download Pictures for your Project. Create a bibliography with URLs of

pictures used. Upload Photos to Animoto. Insert Text Boxes. Select Music. Create Your Video.

To Avoid Problems

Students must follow directions. Promo code must be used when signing up

for educational videos to lengthen time. Music provided by Animoto may not appeal

to students. If they choose to use their own music make sure the lyrics are appropriate.

Make sure you know what you’re doing before you start.
