The peopleThe people

• When they came home there houses were destroyed, there families ruined.

• The way caused many blacks to be freed, which was a good thing but, this meant the blacks would have to find jobs and it scared many people in the north.

• And that’s why so many people don’t like blacks.

ReconstructionReconstruction

• The reconstruction era has two uses; the first covers the entire nation in the period 1865–1877 following the Civil War; the second one, used in this article, covers the transformation of the Southern United states from 1863 to 1877, with the reconstruction of state and society in the former Confederacy. Three amendments to the Constitution affected the entire nation.

• In the different states, Reconstruction began and ended at different times; federal Reconstruction policies were finally abandoned with the Compromise of 1877.

Ku Klux Klan Ku Klux Klan

• This was a clan that was made to be resist against Blacks. This clan really hated Blacks to the point where they killed them, scared them, and tried to control them as well.

• They did anything in their power to stop Blacks from using their rights.

Massive Killings Massive Killings

• Lots of soldiers were killed in this war. More than people in the first world war.

• Over 7,000 people were killed.
