Generally, passed from an institution the people have no time to meet again
with their fellow students. With whom we made friendship and shared study-
materials, happiness and sorrow, difficulties and enjoyment for a long period. We
always missed all the friends, the teachers, beautiful campus and memorable time.
These all we lost in the race of life. Sometimes, we faced fear and challenges about
success with our friends but these made us perfect and competitive.
After completion of our study we go for job and service in any part of this
world in this global scenario, but we all have intense desire to meet our fellow-
students with whom we spent two to six-seven years. To full-fill of this desire the
only platform is an Alumni Association, where we share our feelings, thoughts,
experiences, achievements, success and failure to our friends. On this platform we
the senior and junior fellow meet together and plan to uplift the youngsters in right
direction and work for the development of the institution as well.
The goal and objectives of an alumni association is based on the development
of the alumni and the institution. It provides the mutual communication amongst the
alumni and support to each-other towards the better direction, prospects of education
and profession. It is also a bridge between the alumni and the institution. It provides
the feedback to the institution for their betterment in the relevance of education and
development of the society. It is a platform through we can help our youngsters
which are in need. An alumni association can organize prize, award, scholarship and
fellowship to the pupil who are studying in the institution.
Finally, we can say that the strong association of alumni is always helpful to
the students, institution, society and the nation building. Thus each and every
institution must have their Active Alumni Association.

Dr. J.P. Tiwari Vice-President
Allumni Association, MGCGV

MGCGV is a first Rural University of the India who have devoted to
global rural development and hunger alleviation. MGCGV represents the extensive
disciplinary base of rural and related social science skills necessary to carry out
global rural development and hunger alleviation programs. I am confident University
will work diligently to help fulfill the Rural Deve
lopment's mission of making rural India a healthy, safe, and prosperous place
to live and work. Such a program will move beyond sectors, public, private, non-
profit, and skilled up individuals with knowledge and experiences to address root
causes, use a systems approach, utilize local assets, and strive to realize a triple
bottom time. Some would want to include economic growth practices that
incorporate duty ethics, which combines social justice principles and human rights
in business decisions and local development strategies.
When I was elected vice president of the Alumni Association of
MGCGV, Chitrakoot I knew I had to begin preparing for the presidency. This past
July, I assumed the presidency with enthusiasm, ambition, and great humility. I
thought I was well prepared for what lay ahead. Now, I realized that the true strength
of this University comes from the collective power of our alumni, friends, students,
faculty and staff. It does not come from one person and cannot, and will not, be
taken away by a few people. Our collective power is what will move our alma mater
forward. As this crisis has unfolded, I have witnessed first hand the professionalism
and talent of the MGCGV, Alumni Association. Their ability to tell this story as it is
unfolding in a truthful and balanced way has fille me with gratitude and pride. My
pride in everything this remarkable staff is doing is as strong as my love of India.
So we look forward with sympathy for the victims and with a determination
to improve the checks and balances within our University so that something like this
never happens again. I am now focused on our need to unify and work together to
reposition MGCGV in the public eye—as a world-class university that is built
unshakably on a foundation of integrity and quality. We know that to be true. We
know that this horrible tragedy is an aberration in the long, storied history of a great
University.

The Present Scenario is the era of communication , making network and
building the relationship, which provides opportunities for individual’s
developments. Alumni meets introduce various areas for jobs opportunities for
youths. Alumnus will strengthen themselves and reduce their weaknesses and protect
themselves from the threats through the experiences of their seniors.
I hope that this alumni meet will provide a platform for healthy mutual
communication and better directions towards the better prospects of education and
multidimensional professions. It will establish strong relationship between alumnus
and university , expand and publicize Gramodaya core values and talents of its
scholars in the academy and professional environment and will create platform for
entrepreneurship , job and business opportunities in government , public and private
sectors.

Alumni Association continued the rewarding work of building a stronger
community. With a population as large and diverse as ours, the only way to do this
effectively is by enhancing our programming and continually offering new and
meaningful ways for all alumni to engage with the University and connect with one
another. Thanks to extraordinary collaboration between our volunteers, Board of
Directors, and staff, we offered our alumni significantly more engagement
opportunities than ever before. We added alumni clubs in new locations, in India.
We brought top faculty and University leaders to speak to alumni across the India.
We expanded our social media initiatives and broadened career and educational
offerings online. And we welcomed the next generation of alumni leaders into the
fold with enhanced programming for students and young alumni. This is your alumni
community, and we value your feedback on how we should further enhance our
alumni engagement efforts. Please let us know what we do well — and where we
need to improve. You can send your comments and suggestions to
alumnimgcgvckt@gmail.com. Thank you for your continued involvement as a
member of our outstanding alumni community.

Ethics of Alumni of MGCGV
Today, the relevance of alumni relations is an important part of Gramodya
University for advancement activities in many reasons:
Alumni are an institution's most loyal supporters.
Alumni are fundraising prospects.
Alumni generate invaluable word-of-mouth marketing among their social and
professional networks.
By engaging alumni, an institution can continue to benefit from their skills and
experience.
Alumni are great role models for current students and are often well placed to
offer practical support to students as they start their careers.
Alumni are often in the position to engage the expertise of the institution in
their professional lives.
Your alumni are your international ambassadors. They take their knowledge of
your institution to their hometowns and countries and into their
professional and social networks.
Maintaining a positive relationship with your alumni means that the messages they
share about your institution will also be positive – and current.
If the relationship between your alumni and your institution stalls when they leave
campus, their knowledge of your activities and achievements will no longer evolve. The
messages they will share with people will be out-of-date and could reflect poorly on the
progress your institution has since achieved.
Maintaining communication channels with alumni means you can keep them informed of
your achievements and make them part of your institution's future, not just its past.
Good alumni relations benefits alumni as well as the institution. If you support your
alumni in their professional and personal lives through activities such as the facilitation of
social and professional networks, preferential access to on-campus expertise and facilities
and negotiated benefits with third-party suppliers, they are likely to be your loyal life-long
supporters. Your support may also help your alumni achieve positions of success and
influence, which will in turn benefit your institution as they begin to give back.
28
By helping the institution become bigger, stronger and more successful, alumni are
also enhancing the value of their own degree qualification.
Alumni as Prospects
All alumni are fund-raising prospects. They are the most likely group to give (if the
institution has done its job right), as alumni should have a sense of gratitude and want their
institution to succeed.
A strong link between alumni relations and fundraising will enable you to spot
alumni who have the capacity and inclination to make significant gifts. It will also enable
you to effectively segment the majority of alumni who might only give smaller amounts so
that you can match them to the ask that has the highest likelihood of success.
