CURRICULUM VITAE

Alexander RenowitzkyArchitectural Designer, Exhibit Designer, Project Manager, Draftsperson

// About MeI was born and raised in Barranquilla, Colombia. Schooled in a Catholic Bilin-gual Private school, learned English at a very young aged. My parents are well known business owners and inspired me to make my own path.

I moved into Canada in 2001 and in 2003 into Vancou-ver. I immediately fell in love with the city. The weather, the people and the culture, were all components that I’ve always searched.

2004 I got married and had my daughter in 2009. My passion is to design and manage, but my life is my family. Spending time with them is and will always be a priority.

Now I’m searching for my next challenge and I know it’s going to be fun.

// ActivitiesSports Soccer, snowboarding, basketball, surfing, paddle boarding, kayaking, hiking and golf.

Sports Club VolunteerBurnaby United Soccer Club (Coach).

// Professional StatementSince the age of 16 I have been designing and managing companies. I knew exactly what I wanted to do at an early age and have been doing it since then. There is a lot more to learn and I’m planning to do so. Every experience is a learning moment and hope to keep learning for many years to come.

I am the president and principal designer at Renowitzky Studio, a Van-couver based firm providing Themed Attraction and Exhibit Design con-sulting services for local, nationwide and international projects. I own MIP Boutique, a printing and marketing company in downtown Vancouver.

With over 10 years of experience managing, designing and coordinating installations, as well as facilitating services such as cost estimates, project reviews, creating feasibility studies, proposals and development docu-ments for new and existing projects. I like to have a close relationship with principal architects, engineers, interior designers, lighting and sound spe-cialists and other consultants. That is the link between the client’s targets and his accomplishments.

I have experience in cultural projects such as the Haida Cultural Centre in Queen Charlotte, BC, the Abbotsford Museum, Art Gallery and Cultural Centre in Abbotsford, BC, the Tutshi Canyon Suspension Bridge in the Yukon, the Asahi Team Exhibit in the Japanese Museum & Heritage Cen-tre in Burnaby, BC, the From Totems to Turquoise travelling exhibit in the Vancouver Museum in Vancouver, BC, and the Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre in Whistler, BC.

I also have a broad experience with commercial designs requiring a theme as part of their identity, such as sales centres, display homes, building common areas and retails shops. Some example of projects are the Opal Sales centre, display home and identity in Richmond, BC, Cam-West Homes in Washington State, USA, and various consulting jobs for different clients in South America.

In 2010 and 2012 I designed and built stands in Vancouver and Berlin for one of the largest airport administration companies in Mexico with a great success.

I am a member of the TAA Canada (Theme Attraction Association of Canada).
