FIRST MEETING

LIBERTY STUDENTS MET THEIR CAST FOR THE FIRST TIME, SHARED SCRIPTS, AND REHEARSED LINES WITH

EACH STUDENT.

CHARACTER ACTING, SCRIPT WRITING, AND SCENE COMPREHENSION STANDARDS

Students were assigned to do research on specific A.A black history figures. With the research, students created scripts to share with Alexander students.

CHARACTER ACTING, SCRIPT WRITING, AND SCENE COMPREHENSION STANDARDS

Liberty students demonstrated characterization by showing students how to act and move like their Black history figure.

DIRECTINGStudent directors practiced lines with their partner

during each visit to Alexander.

DIRECTINGLiberty students practiced transitions , pacing, and

speech presentation with each student.

DIRECTINGLiberty students coached Alexander students on

maintaining focus, staying on task, and team work.

SCENE DESIGN & SCENE COMPREHENSIONLiberty students created all props and costumes to add

visual effects for the audience.

SCENE DESIGN & SCENE COMPREHENSIONAll props and costumes set the time period for each African American figure to portray their character.
