Rules associated with new law:
Users must be 21 or over"
No more than 1 ounce on person"
No more than 4 ounces harvested at home"
Consumption in public or while driving is still illegal
Another caveat:The law has not yet been implemented, thus selling marijuana in shops is not yet legal.
Federally,Marijuana is still a Schedule 1 narcotic."
A U.S. Attorney General said he is “cautiously optimistic” about the legalization of marijuana on a federal level"
They are focused on bigger crimes such as drug violence or distribution to minors
Currently 23 states prohibit marijuana usage. !
