AIS TALKS FASHION, BACON AND BAND ATTITUDE WITH THE DANISH SINGER-SONGWRITER BAND THE WHITE ALBUM
Describe your perfect day? A perfect day would be waking up after a good nights sleep. Eating a hearty breakfast mainly consisting of bacon before heading out for sound check and concert. We love touring although it’s hard being away from our families. But it’s worth it as soon as we get on stage.
What’s the most dangerous thing you’ve ever done? We’re not really a danger seeking, living on the edge kinda band, so actual danger is not something were often exposed to... even though the before mentioned amounts of bacon will probably end up killing us in the end. Pure Rock n’ Roll lifestyle... ish... Nothing beats that.

Do you care about your appearance?Well I think most people care about their appearance although on dif-ferent levels. I would say we all are quite conscious about our appear-ances. First off, you don’t grow a beard like ours without at least having an opinion about what look it brings. So yes, we care about our appear-ances, without being extreme about it.
You’ve done plenty of travelling as well Paul and in your experience, what places would be ahead of the rest or at the forefront in terms of style in your experience? We actually think Copenhagen is doing quite well in that area. We have spent a lot of time playing in England, and of course London is also a big fashion Mekka in its own way, although it is also flooded in horrible looking suits.
What was the best advice you’ve ever had?“Be more focused on what you can add to the band, as opposed to what you can gain from it.” A god nugget of an advice that will push your project forward. When you push aside your ego and focus on the com-mon goal, you actually end up gaining more in the end.
Currently, in the public sphere, are there any male fig-ures whose style you would most admire and why?We admire anyone who has the guts tobe themselves. People who don’t care what other people think of them whether it comes down to style, opinions or personality are admirable. We are all different. If we embrace that fact we will grow as a society
