I have enjoyed teaching, watching, working with and monitoring Ahmed Tarshan over the last 19 years. Ahmed is one of those special people that lights up a room with his personality, and excels with his tremendous design and creative sense.

Ahmed Tarshan was one of my undergraduate students. I have taught him four undergraduate courses. He used to be one of the top-rated students in his class, and when it comes to architectural design, Tarshan has always been the absolute top-rated student in his class.

After his graduation in 2002, Ahmed Tarshan and I continued to be close friends. He has soon attested his quality when collaborating with me at the professional level. Tarshan has always been an excellent manager of his staff and studio colleagues, motivating hard work and quality output and creating an efficient and fun environment. These abilities were further cemented when Tarshan studied and gained his MBA in 2011. In one of the projects when Tarshan and I collaborated together, Tarshan was then the Design Manager of DSC – Distance Studio Consultants, and he and his team were constantly put under intense deadlines and unrealistic expectations. Tarshan was always able to navigate through the minefields, resulting in high quality creative product and very satisfied clients. Tarshan’s achievements in managing design and coordinating architectural projects of almost all types and scales, especially in Saudi Arabia, UAE and Qatar are remarkable. His 15 years’ experience after graduation shows a unique and proven track record of success.
