GSoC 2011 Timeline

• February 28 – March 11: Google accepts applications from

open source projects.

• March 14 – 17: Google program administrators review

organization applications.

• March 18: List of accepted mentoring organizations published

on http://www.google-melange.com

• March 28 - April 8: Student applications acceptance period.

• Interim Period: Would-be student participants discuss

application ideas with mentoring organizations.6

GSoC 2011 Timeline

• March 28: Student application period opens.

• April 8: Student application deadline.

• April 25: Accepted student proposals announced at http://www.google-melange.com

• May 23: Students begin coding for their GSoC projects.

• July 15: Mid-term evaluations deadline.

• August 26: Final evaluation deadline.

• August 30: Students begin submitting required code samples to Google.
