1916 she married colonel Archibald Christie.

During I World war she worked at a hospital and then in a pharmacy

On 8 december 1926 she disappeared for ten days, causing great interest in the press.

In 1971 she was made a Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire.

Agatha Christie died on 12 January 1976, at age 85.

Introduction of Poirot and Miss Marple

Hercule Poirot is a fictional Belgian detective. Along with Miss Marple is one of Christie's most famous and long-lived characters

Poirot first novel appears in 1920 and Miss Marple first appears in 1930

During World War II, Christie wrote the last cases of these two great detectives

Miss Marple is an elderly spinter who acts as an amateur detective, and lives in the village of St. Mary Mead.

Her innocuous appearance, meandering conversation and ever-present knitting needles often mislead people into underestimating her as simply a "dithering old maid."

she is a sharp observer of human nature with "an uncanny knack of being always right."

She solve difficult crimes because her frequent analogies to people and events in Saint Mary Mead

allowing her to realize about the true nature of a crime.
