After the Renaissance and the Age of Exploration, Europe enters a time period of great technological improvements.

Many scientists and inventors made so many discoveries during this time

that it lead to major changes in Europe.

During this period in time there was a major shift from rural living

to urban living in Europe.

Urban- city

Why were so many people moving during this time?

Because of the things that were taking place in the cities!

In the 1600s scientific discoveries were changing the way people looked at the world and the universe.

Many intelligent individuals were inventing magnificent tools to help us learn more about

the earth and its properties.

In Italy, a man by the name of Galileo studied the stars and planets using a new invention called the telescope.

In the country of Holland, Antoni van Leeuwenhoek was busy using one of the

first microscopes to explore different bacteria and microorganisms in a drop of

water.

Many inventions of the Scientific Revolution began to change the way people worked and lived all across Europe.

People began relying on and using new machines to perform jobs once done by

humans.
