Savanna

Definition: grassland with scattered trees or an open canopy of trees.

Plateau

Plateau: a high plain or tableland

Wadi: A valley, gully, or streambed in northern Africa that remains dry except during the rainy season

cataract

Cataract:  the surface of the water is broken by many small boulders and stones protruding out of the river bed, as well as many rocky islets creating small or large waterfalls.
