• Aesthetics are… Dealing with one’s personal sense of beauty

(Like what is beautiful to you… your clothing, the way a decorator sets up a room… is their aesthetic.)

• A mood is a feeling.• Moods can be portrayed through color,

type of lines, and choice of images.• What is a color that gives a certain

• Emotional art is about the process of making the art and portraying a mood or feelings using colors and brush strokes. (Expressive qualities).

Surrealism and Senior FinalObjective: You will use techniques that you

learned in order to make a surreal artwork that has a 3-dimensional element.

DRILL:• Seniors ~ sit in the back.• Other students ~ Surrealism critique will be

on Monday.• If finished, do your interpretation, vocab cross-

words and word search, then review sheet.

Criteria:

1. 5 + objects minimum.

2. Objects have meaning. Write an interpretation.

3. 3d element. At least one

4. Must be surreal. Use techniques.

5. Finished looking. Papier mache. Paint all cardboard. No tape showing.

SENIORS~

• GO TO THE BACK OF THE ROOM.

• MAKE A MANILLA FOLDER.

• FIND ALL OF YOUR ART TO TAKE HOME.

with you in a piece of manilla paper or two.
