ADVENT ~ Week 2

PRIVILEGEa special right, advantage, or immunity granted or available only to a particular person or group of people;

rarely, if ever, something to feelguilty over, or ashamed of, butsomething to be grateful for, to buildperspective/empathy from, and takeresponsibility for utilizing well…

TYPES of PRIVILEGE- Regular, unhindered access to clean water- Access to quality education (public/private)- Affordable housing, and all that goes w/it- Cell phone service- No outstanding student debt- Living at this point in history- Skin color that isn’t consciously,

or subconsciously viewed in anegative light…

A CHRISTIAN USE of PRIVILEGE- Intentionally developing creative ways

to leverage the various types of privilege we experience for the tangible PEACEof those who – for whatever reason – don’t share, or have access to them

- Using the resources our privilegesprovide us as a platform fromwhich we can learn about, betterempathize with, and effectively serve those who don’t…

We all have access to the following “capitals”:- Spiritual- Relational- Physical- Intellectual- Financial

Ask God to show you how to leverageone-or-more of these capitals to helpbring PEACE to someone else this week
