The adolescent and volunteer work 3rd survey 2006

Sample procedures

Multi-stage, divided into strata, selecting the primary sample units (municipalities) and the secondary units (sections) with a probability according to its size, and the last units (individuals), through random routes and sex and age quotas.

The strata have been formed by combining the 17 autonomous communities with the size of the habitat, which is divided into 7 categories: below or equal than 2,000 inhabitants; from 2,001 to 10,000; from 10,001 to 50,000; from 50,001 to 100,000; from 100,001 to 400,000; from 400,001 to 1,000,000, and over 1,000,000

inhabitants.

The surveys have been done following a personal interview system at home.

Sampling error In the simple random sampling, with a

confidence coefficient of 95.5% (two sigma) and P = Q, the real sampling error is ±2.6 %.

THE YOUNG PEOPLE ASKED AWARD QUITE A LOT OF IMPORTANCE TO VOLUNTARY ACTIVITIES, THEY DO NOT SEE MANY VOLUNTEERS IN THEIR TOWNS AND CITIES

III. YOUNG PEOPLE AND SOCIAL INEQUALITIES 3.2. PERCEPTION OF THE LEVEL OF POVERTY AND SOCIAL INEQUALITIES IN SPAIN

AMONGST THE PEOPLE WHO SAY SOCIAL INJUSTICE IS THE ORIGIN OF POVERTY FOR SOME FAMILIES, THERE ARE MORE WOMEN THAN MEN, PEOPLE WITH HIGHER LEVELS OF STUDIES, WITH A SPANISH NATIONALITY, PLACED ON THE LEFT (IDEOLOGICALLY SPEAKING) AND LIVING IN URBAN SETTINGS
