- 10. UAA Nursing School Expansion
- 2002 University/Industry Task Force primary recommendation was to double the capacity of School of Nursing by 2006
- UAA SON was graduating less than 100 per year; Weber State about 10-20 more in Alaska
- Projected need for about 220-240 new graduate positions available annually in the state (survey in Summer 2003)
- Doubling capacity has since become a goal for nursing schools nationally
