Changes to AEIS this Year
• In order to allow “apples to apples” comparison of 2011 data to 2010 data, and to accurately calculate Required Improvement, TAKS scores from 2010 were recomputed to include performance on TAKS-Modified (TAKS-M) and TAKS-Alternate (TAKS-Alt) for all grades and subjects.
• For the 2010-11 AEIS reports, the new federal definitions for the collection of ethnicity and race are used. Students and staff are now reported as African American, Hispanic, White, American Indian,
Asian, Pacific Islander, and Two or More Races.
