A small island located at the entrance of Manila Bay.It is a memorial for the valor of the Filipinos and Americans who stood their ground against the Japanese invaders. In 1942 General McArthur and Manuel
Quezon left forAustralia,leaving Lt.Gen.Jonathan Wainwright in command. The Phil. and American forces held out for 1 month but finally surrendered. In 1945 General McArthur returned and recaptured Corregidor.
