Accreditation of Accreditation of Innovative Innovative

Technologies for Technologies for HousingHousing

OBJECTIVESOBJECTIVES

• Assists producers of innovative technologies in securing acceptance of their products or systems in the market as well as to make these technologies acceptable for funding under the government’s housing loan program.

• Aims to encourage and promote the use of innovative technologies as an alternative to traditional housing construction system.

““TECHNOLOGIES”TECHNOLOGIES”• New production process of existing materials or

system.

• New construction techniques.

• Building materials designed to serve as alternative to traditional or conventional component.

1. Concrete Hollow Blocks1. Concrete Hollow Blocks

• Produced from mixture of cement, sand and water.

• Simple assembly line methodology and has almost perfect alignment even without alignment guide.

• Stays in place even without mortar in between layers.

• Interlocking hollow blocks can utilized for structural walls and partition.

A. WALL SYSTEMA. WALL SYSTEM

• Garden Cottages Housing Project , Tanay, Rizal

• Sta. Barbara Villas San Mateo, Rizal

• San Agustin Village, Brgy. San Roque, Antipolo City

e.g.

1.b Compressed Earth Blocks1.b Compressed Earth Blocks

• Produced from a mixture of soil, cement and water.

• Compressed by a manual press with a maximum nominal compaction force of 8 tons.

• Compressed Earth Blocks are utilized for non-structural walls.

e.g.

• Dreamland Housing, Taguig, M. M

• Joshuaville Housing, Kawit, Cavite

2. Wall Panels2. Wall Panels

• Solid concrete reinforced wall panels with standard bars.

• Slotted between pre-cast structural members.

• Can be utilized as structural walls.

2.a Pre-fabricated Concrete Wall Panels2.a Pre-fabricated Concrete Wall Panels

e.g.

• Villa de Primarosa, Imus Cavite

• Sta. Barbara Homes, Tayabas, Quezon

• San Alfonso Homes, Brgy. Pacol, Naga City

• AFP Off-base Housing Project, Tanza Cavite

• Pasong Kawayan, Gen. Trias, Cavite (Vazbuilt)

• Dreamland Housing, Taguig, M. M

• Joshuaville Housing, Kawit, Cavite

2.b Lightweight Hollow Core Concrete Wall Panel2.b Lightweight Hollow Core Concrete Wall Panel

• Composed of cement and fine aggregates (perlite).

• Edges are tongue and groove which allows aligning of panels.

• Panels are produced in zero slump and hollow cores are formed using an extruder.

• Can be utilized as non-structural walls.

e.g.

• APO BAY, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig, M.M.

2.c Cast - In - Place Concrete Wall Panels2.c Cast - In - Place Concrete Wall Panels

• Special formworks used to cast concrete walls and other structure members.

• Cast-in-place for walls and slab give monolithic load bearing and shear wall structure.

• No plastering needed.

• Electrical and water pipes, door opening and others are incorporated.

• Can be utilized as structural walls.e.g.

• Liro Homes, Tanay, Rizal

2.d Steel Reinforced Concrete2.d Steel Reinforced Concrete

• Panel system composed of a welded three-dimension wire frame utilizing a truss concept and polystyrene foam core plastered with concrete mortar on both faces.

• Can be utilized as structural wall.

e.g.

• The Forbes Tower

• Villa Eliza Subdivision

• Galvanized steel sheets sandwiching the high density styrofoam.

• With lasting durability, heat resistance, workability & heat reflection.

• Can be used as non-structural wall and roofing.

2.e Galvanized Steel Sheet Wall Panels2.e Galvanized Steel Sheet Wall Panels

e.g.

• Model House in Calamba, Laguna, Iloilo, NHA Main Office Compound.

1. Light Gauge Steel1. Light Gauge Steel

• Used as wall / floor frame screwed on panel boards.

• Used as roof framing such as purlins and rafters.

• Structural components are composed of Light Gauge Steel clad with fiber cement board or stucco.

• Utilized for wall / floor frame and roof framing.

B. WALL / FLOOR / ROOF FRAMING SYSTEMB. WALL / FLOOR / ROOF FRAMING SYSTEM

e.g.

• Smart Homes, FTI, Bicutan

• Rotary Housing Pinugay, Rizal

• Baseco, Tondo, Manila

2. Mild Steel Hot-Rolled Thin Gauge2. Mild Steel Hot-Rolled Thin Gauge

• Used as structural members; columns, beams, rafters etc.

• The structural components are composed of mild steel, hot rolled thin gauge materials which are welded to the members.

• Utilized as structural members such as columns, beams, rafter, purlins and floor joist – connector plates which are welded to the members.

e.g.

• Mahogany Villas , Calamba, Laguna

• Mary Cris Subdivision , Dasmarinas, Cavite

• Plastic septic tank made from recycled scrap polyethylene vinyl.

• With anaerobic filtration of household sewage.
